Whereas your homepage needs to be self-evident to start a common task, your interior pages need to continue guiding users along the path to the goal you and they want to achieve.

You may have the link to the next step in the process in the upper-right column of that interior page, but what happens when users scroll down to finish reading a section of your site? Putting a link directly after the copy on your pages is the easiest way for your users to quickly move on. Another seemingly simple change that can make a drastic difference in the ultimate success of your site.
