Myth 3: One and done
Most people perceive SEO investment like a magic seed: plant once and watch it grow. The metaphor is as flawed as the myth. Like any successful garden, for your SEO dollars to come into bloom, it takes regular watering and tending.
We check client search statistics regularly to make sure you’re not losing ground on changes in search behavior, search engine logarithms, page rank, and more. It’s the only way to use your budget wisely to grow your revenue.
Myth 4: It’s really not that valuable to our model
One response that always astonishes us is when companies believe that referrals and conventional marketing are the only worthwhile means toward generating revenue.
The truth is, people depend on search engines more and more every day. In the US alone, there were more than five billion searches over the last year (comScore). It’s not a fad. One of the most surprising trends is that search engines have become so ubiquitous, many users think Yahoo! or Google is the Internet. So that even when they have a company’s URL in hand, they’ll type it into the search bar, and then click the link that appears in the search results.
In short, if you’re not doing any SEO work, you’re probably missing out on revenue you never knew was there.
